About FlyCodes
FlyCodes is a fast, free lookup for airport and airline codes. Type a code, a city or an airline name and get the answer straight away, with no sign up.
Why we built it
Looking up an airport code should take one second. Too many existing references bury the answer under clutter or dated interfaces. FlyCodes keeps the lookup at the top of every page and puts the code, its meaning and where it is right in the first screen.
What is covered
We cover 8,803 airports and 1,108 airlines from open datasets. Every airport and airline is reachable through search and available as a JSON endpoint. The busiest airports get full reference pages first, and the coverage of full pages grows over time.
Open data, open API
Everything is built on public datasets, credited on our data page. The API needs no key and has no rate limit, and you can embed a lookup on your own site with the widget.
Independence
FlyCodes is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to IATA, ICAO, or any airline or airport. Always confirm safety-critical information against official sources.
